New Survey Reveals Gender Pay Gap

New research shows male community association management professionals earn more than females for the same job. According to the 2024 Community Association Manager Compensation and Salary Survey compiled by the Foundation for Community Association Research, women’s median annual salary is only 76% compared to what men earn. Women’s median annual total compensation package is only 74% for all positions compared to men.
The gender pay gap appears largest for CEOs, management company executives, large-scale managers, and high-rise managers. Ironically, 66% of survey respondents identify as female, which indicate women comprise a large percentage of professionals working in community association management.
Gender equality is the 2025 theme for International Women’s Day celebrations beginning in March. CAI is planning programs highlighting the achievements and challenges facing women in the industry.
